Information About Treasures and Tidbits in Bergen County N.J. and Sometimes Beyond

O.K., you're asking why the name "The Merchant Mouse?" The answer is simple; I had a retail store for over ten years with this name, and quite frankly I didn't want to give it up! The store was filled with antiques and gifts and lots of really nice people who I met over the years. So, I don't have a store anymore, I've got this web site to share a few antiques, some stories about what I love, and to establish a connection with lots of people.

My vision for this web page is to have something like one of those newspapers you get when you are on vacation that are filled with local news, including things to do, great local stores, fabulous places to eat, some interesting tidbits on seasonal stuff, what's happening - in short, a fun read filled with lots of information. In the northern area of Bergen County New Jersey we don't have anything like this! We do have "throwaway" newspapers and they have some of the information I'm talking about, but they just don't have the flavor I am looking to put together. I hope you enjoy my take on a fun journal.
